On December 19, 2012, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield worked aboard a Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).

On March 2013, he became the first Canadian Commander of the ISS.

On March 13, 2013, as commander of Expedition 35 and chief, among his new duties. Chris Hadfield is responsible for any final decisions required in an emergency event, oversees station operations, including over 100 scientific experiments. His role as Commander ended mid-May, when he and the other members of Expedition 35 return to Earth.

Current Status: 

He is a retired astronaut, but he is now a public speaker and CEO (entrepreneur).
